“Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.”
We came for a fair game. Look at what it became.
The trenches were supposed to be the one place where the small account had the same shot as the fund. Same chart, same button, same clock.
Now the chart is a stage. The launch is a script. The names that post are paid before they post. The tools you trade through sit on the other side of the trade. Every cycle the same hands exit first and the same crowd is left holding the bag, told it was their fault for being late.
IThe house plays against the table.
The venue that mints the coins also holds most of its own token: about eighty percent of $PUMP sits with the team. Buybacks and burns make the headline; the selling happens from wallets that never make it. The airdrop promised more than a year ago is still a promise. Twenty percent of all volume goes through OTC, which pockets fees on tokens that died before they could pay them. And when a rival launchpad appears, the answer is not a better product, it is a paid FUD campaign. FOMO went further and MEV'd its own users.
IIThe tools you trade through sit on the other side of the trade.
Photon and BullX took nine figures out of the trenches and left. An Axiom employee traded on inside information for six figures. Usepaid said it was paying thousands of users and kept roughly eighty percent of the volume it generated. Kimchi's “$40M” was a marketing line, not a number anyone audited.
IIIThe mouths are rented and the coins are scripts.
KOLs used to blast a token to earn respect; now they are paid to, and the coin pays. Every runner comes pre-loaded with insiders and a larp. A simple meme that would once have run now tops at fifty thousand unless it goes planet-wide viral, because attention is bought before it is earned.
IVThen the famous came for the rest.
Celebrities, a president, whole countries: launched, extracted, exited, without shame. The last stranger walking in found the table already stripped.
Counts as the trenches bring them, in their own words, from public threads and receipts. Allegations, not findings. Verify everything; the chain keeps the receipts.
That is what happened to the game we love. Everyone knows. Nobody says it, because saying it costs you the next allocation. Keep going and we vanish the way NFTs did.
January 2021. Top of the last greed cycle. Someone wrote the answer into the number of the beast.
Block 666,666 was always going to arrive. Bitcoin has a tradition of marking its number blocks: 666, 6,666, 66,666, 42069, each one stamped by someone who cared. For 666,666 a stranger went further: seventy bytes, paid at fourteen times the going rate so they would land in this block and no other.
The change went to two addresses that had to be mined for, 1GoD… and 1BibLE…, 432,100 sats each. Nothing was taken. Everything was spent on the message.
BITCOINTALK · THE MORNING AFTERtopic 5310653 · jan 19–22, 2021“This not the first time we have messages on Bitcoin blockchain but it is interesting to see Bible message in Bitcoin block 666,666. Also interesting choice of words for Bitcoin vanity addresses used for this transaction: 1GoD… 1BibLE…”

“So, yes, after 12 years of proof of work, here it is. Block 666,666. The previous ‘gems’: block 666 (2009-01-16), block 6,666 (2009-03-07), block 42069 (2010-02-23), block 66,666 (2010-07-13). The next: block 696,969 in about 210 days, block 1,000,000 in about 6.4 years, block 6,666,666 in about 115 years.”

“It's not a message in the coinbase transaction, like the famous message in the genesis block; this is simply a message in a regular transaction that was mined in block 666,666. Interestingly, the sender paid 0.00135 BTC fee, which is $472 right now, just to ensure a nearly 100% chance of getting included in this block.”

“Just a single more verse and we will be seeing something regarding authority, which bitcoin is clearly trying to get rid of. Perhaps that's a subtle play on how close we're getting to being fully regulated yet again by authority, despite the obvious message regarding the mark of the beast.”

“Satoshi himself intentionally wrote what he wrote in the Genesis block. Hey, even Genesis comes from the bible.”

Same day: Decrypt and Cointelegraph, Jan 19, 2021. The sender has never been identified.
Paul wrote it in chains,
to a city that had lost its way.
Read it as a trench manual.
17Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men.— you got rugged. don't become the rugger.
18If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men.— the war between venues is not your war.
19Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord.— the chain keeps every receipt. you don't have to.
20If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him a drink.— give. the ones who only take are already losing.
21Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
One of 2,728. Still there.
Every node on earth keeps a copy. There is no delete. The warning has been confirmed by 306,182 blocks stacked on top of it, through two halvings, three crashes and every venue that promised to be different.
every headline faded, every crash recovered. the seventy bytes have not changed once.
